Blackhead removal strips are readily available at all major departmental stores. All you need to do is to wet the strip, place the strip on your nose, which is where blackheads are very likely to form, leave it on till it dries completely, and peel it off.
Exfoliate
Make sure the blackheads don鈥檛 reappear by exfoliate your skin with a face scrub, to get rid of dead skin so they do not block pores. Use it on your nose, or wherever you have blackheads. Scrub the area gently. Do not be too harsh as you may cause further damage.
While you need exfoliate your face only twice a week, many women have reported that their blackheads on their nose have totally disappeared after they started using a face scrub on their nose on a daily basis.

you can use a daily exfoliator speciallizing in acne prevention, and also make sure if you wear make up or use lotion on your face that it doesn't clog your pores

If blackheads look ready to pop out, you could try removing them gently by using a blackhead extractor. This is a neat little instrument with a hole at one end, available from chemists. Pressure around the blackhead helps it to pop out through the hole. Also, Pore cleanser strips are highly recommended for the treatment/removal of blackheads. What is a good treatment for oily skin, i have also pimples and whiteheads?
With oily skin you have to be careful not to over wash it as you can end up drying it out causing it to secrete more oil to compensate. Avoid soaps as they dry the skin and cause a backlash of oil. Also avoid washing with hot water as this increases oil production. Try using a soap free wash once a day for your body and twice a day for your face. If you use a moisturiser, make sure it's oil free.
Oily skin can be hormone related. If you are still in your teens/early 20s then hopefully you will grow out of it. You could try some kind of contraceptive pill if you're female. Perhaps ask your doctor.

You should get a good multivitamin(highly suggest) with vitamin a,c,e,d and zinc.. this should help tons! Eating carrots also helps.. there is beta-carotene (Vitamin A) in them which helps prevent acne and repair the skin. Take zinc, zinc is a antibacterial agent. Make sure to drink plenty of water and get good rest at night.
Azelaic Acid is a great natural acid that reduces the growth of bacteria, restores the skins cells and reduces inflammation. Try using a topical with Azelaic Acid in it.. it is safe.
Also, change/wash your pillow case and sheets every other day.

Lotions with mineral oil can dry out the skin, use one with out it! try wearing gloves. It sounds wierd, but often whitehead patterns will form where you touch your face. Do you rest your head in your chin a lot? It will help to just keep the area really clean. Not touching is a good first step, but if that doesn't do the trick, use witch hazel (like 97 cents a bottle) to clean the area a couple times a day. Good luck

try using a facial deep cleanings fash wash. are you sure that they are whiteheads or are they dermial cysts. I get them under my eyes in the soft skin and a dermotolgist can remove them.

I would just begin to start washing your face with good old fashioned 'SOAP' and especially around your eyes, with them shut really good, to take care not to get soap in your eyes, and wash really good with warm water everyday.. And believe it or not, soap dries out the skin, so your eyes, should be back to normal before long! You'll see! I swear by this, and I have never used anything else for my face in my whole 44 years in my entire life!! I even tell my two teens to wash their faces, everyday before they use their ';Stridex-Pads'; and they have blemishes, but not near as bad, as they did, before I got on them about washing their faces, and using the stridex-pads.. good luck to you hun! smile, they'll be going away soon enough, you'll see!!! Dont listen to all of these people who will tell you this product works, and that, beccause they dont!! My sister's tried them all, only to find out that good old fashioned soap , is the only thing that helps her, now!! So forget what they all say!!! SOAP, everyday, tho!!! Smile!!!

actually, there is no one cure for getting rid of whiteheads permanently. you just need to learn how to live with it, while maintaining a clean and healthy face. soap and water are the basic. next you need to exfoliate. but you need to avoid the sun when using exfoliating/ chemical peels such as aha/bha or retinol based products. then when using retinol based products, you might want to use a whitening product, as it tends to discolor skin through time.
Try to dry them out. Overnight remedy...put a dab of toothpaste on the spot.
I recently purchased a product called Magic Mirror. I bought it at Cato's. It is a black/white head remover. It has wires on both ends, one for black heads %26amp; one for white heads. I know it sounds gross, but with a little pressure it pops those suckers right out. I don't have many clogged pores anymore. Seriously-It is AWESOME!!!
It only costs @ $ 15.00. It also comes with a mirror that magnifies 10X, a heated eyelash curler %26amp; a cute pink bag to keep it in.
It's worth checking into.
1st apply a hot towel 2 ur face
2nd apply egg whites just the white of the egg not the yoke(let dry)
3rd use a warm towel
4th then put lemon juice on ur face
5th rinse with warm water
6th take some ice cold water and apply to face
gureentee that pimples whiteheads blackheads ect within 12hours
sounds bizzare but it works
I use this system off of TV called Murad it runs around 30.00 for their trial kit but I myself have noticed a difference in using it. I myself have used Proactiv with no luck I just got more breakouts and aggravation of paying too much for junk. Try it I am sure you'll like it too!

There is a dilemma. If you pop it, then in the medical sense, it is supposed to make things worse by pushing the oils/dirt into the skin further....
From the nonscientific view, I also just give em' hell and pop them. But, I never have had them bad, and not many. So if you had alot, then I would think doing that could cause scaring in the future.
You best bet would be prevention. Buy face cleanser and use it morning and night, and look into 10% benzode peroxide, that helps with acne problems.

Good exfoliation will keep them to a minimum. Spa facials also help because there is a correct way to remove whiteheads to keep them from returning. Spa professionals will know how to do this with special tools.
take a hot cloth and put it over your white heads so that they are easier to squeeze out--- and it won't scar. after that, use a scrub and scrub that area....

Beat the battle before it has begun friend, try some products that treat misbehaving skin such as the products seen in the link that I have included as a source. Type in the search engine ';misbehaving';--there should be several products that appear.

time, they heal the fastest and cleanest if they are left untouched. they won't scar that way either. They also are less likely to spread.

Proactive, and Netrogena daily facial cleanser!!! Or St. Ives appricote scrub
You might want to try ARbonne's ';Intelligence'; self balancing skin care products. My daughter, who's 21, was using proactive, but it didn't totally clear up her skin and dried out her face. I gave her a sample of ';Intelligence'; and it cleared her up in about 3 days! She said she loves how her face feels too. I have a sample packet I could send you. It comes with: Wash, Balancer, Thermal Mask, Eye Creme, and Moisturizer.

THIS IS MY LONG ANSWER FOR ALL OILY SKIN/ACNE PROBS...TRYING TO COVER ALL I KNOW ABOUT ACNE/SPOT PROBLEMS FROM MY OWN EXPERIENCE...SO HOPEFULLY THERE'LL BE SOMETHING HERE TO HELP!!! SOME MIGHT NOT BE RELEVANT DEPENDING ON YOUR SEX BUT I HOPE SOMETHING'LL BE HERE FOR YOU!
I'm 35 and I still get spots/pimple clusters from time to time and even when they go, they leave reddish marks for ages and my skin looks blotchy.
I use clean and clear or neutrogena clear skin - both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too. And crazy as it sounds - the toothpaste things works! Put on a blob at night and put a bit of tissue over it so it doesn't make a mess. I dunno how it works but it does!
Any female with spots I'd recommend trying dianette or yasmin contraceptive pills because if it's hormonal, that can sort out the kind of hormonal pimples you might get monthly!
Be careful what products you use in your hair if it's long - certain conditioners have causes me to break out at times.
Also I'd recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex and Omega 369 oils every day because that ensures you're getting the right nutrition and also, the omega oils improve blood flow.
It's an 'old wives tale' type rememdy - but a spoonful of cider vinegar and honey in hot water 3 times a day is meant to help EVERYTHING. It tastes nice too...kinda like honey and lemon X
Also...keep your hydration right by drinking plenty of water, avoiding caffeine and alcohol and too much salt!
Another suggestion is the scrub you can get called 'resurface' or something like that - made by L'oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out. It comes with it's own moisturiser which I don't use but I use the scrub at night a couple of times a week and put bio oil on which it supposed to help clear scarring and even skin tone.
Don't use harsh scrubs and peroxide products daily like some people do; that can dry your skin and make produce MORE oil...just exaccerbating the problem.
And my final suggestion is 'sheer cover' mineral foundation. You see it on infomercials a lot...tacky I know! But it really works. You can buy it on eBay too so it's easy for you to get some to try it out. You use the tiniest amount but because it doesn't settle into enlarged pores and it contains minerals that reflect light, it disguises any kind of 'scarring' and also it stops you getting spots because it doesn't block pores. The minerals in it reflect light a bit too which acts as a kind of concealer. It's hard to explain but it's fantastic. Just make sure not to use too much - and apply with a kabuki brush starting from the outside and working in so you don't end up with an over made up nose!
I know people say make up's a no no - but because this doesn't block pores and has the added effect of stopping you touching your face too much, I think it's good. You can wear it on its own too and as long as you apply it minimally, it covers but doesn't look like you've got make up on.

PS - if you can get them, clean %26amp; clear do these blotting paper things - in the uk I find I have to order them in from Hong Kong or somewhere cos they stopped doing them here - but they're REALLY good.
And if your face gets really greasy, just blot with a tissue if you can't find those. Some tissues are to fluffy so I tend to carry around a few sheets of kitchen roll for the purpose!!!
PPS - If you get your skin relatively under control, try using '21 days Fade Cream' (which I get from eBay) because it quickly clears up any scarring. I can only use it once a day though because otherwise (even though it's a 'cream-gel') it can make my skin a bit greasy again so I tend to use that at night but only during periods that my skin's doing 'good'!

Another suggestion is the scrub you can get called 'resurface' or something like that - made by L'oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out. It comes with it's own moisturiser which I don't use but I use the scrub at night a couple of times a week and put bio oil on which it supposed to help clear scarring and even skin tone.
Don't use harsh scrubs and peroxide products daily like some people do; that can dry your skin and make produce MORE oil...just exaccerbating the problem.
And my final suggestion is 'sheer cover' mineral foundation. You see it on infomercials a lot...tacky I know! But it really works. You can buy it on eBay too so it's easy for you to get some to try it out. You use the tiniest amount but because it doesn't settle into enlarged pores and it contains minerals that reflect light, it disguises any kind of 'scarring' and also it stops you getting spots because it doesn't block pores. The minerals in it reflect light a bit too which acts as a kind of concealer. It's hard to explain but it's fantastic. Just make sure not to use too much - and apply with a kabuki brush starting from the outside and working in so you don't end up with an over made up nose!
I know people say make up's a no no - but because this doesn't block pores and has the added effect of stopping you touching your face too much, I think it's good. You can wear it on its own too and as long as you apply it minimally, it covers but doesn't look like you've got make up on.

PS - if you can get them, clean %26amp; clear do these blotting paper things - in the uk I find I have to order them in from Hong Kong or somewhere cos they stopped doing them here - but they're REALLY good.
And if your face gets really greasy, just blot with a tissue if you can't find those. Some tissues are to fluffy so I tend to carry around a few sheets of kitchen roll for the purpose!!!
PPS - If you get your skin relatively under control, try using '21 days Fade Cream' (which I get from eBay) because it quickly clears up any scarring. I can only use it once a day though because otherwise (even though it's a 'cream-gel') it can make my skin a bit greasy again so I tend to use that at night but only during periods that my skin's doing 'good'!

i did not see them for like a month than one day when i did see them i didn't recognize them because they had almost no acne! so i was like what did you do to get rid of your acne and he said that he used a cotton ball with some rubbing alcohol and rubbed it all over his face then followed wih neutrogena (I'm not sure how to spell that word) and it really worked for him i couldn't believe how much smother and cleaner his face looked! try it i hope it works for you :) p.s he did say it is going to burn but it is real inportant that you put the cream on afterwords and depending on how severe your acne problem is like if it is mild than once a day before bedtime if it is out of control try twice a day:0

i used proactiv too and at first it seemed like it didnt work it just takes sum time. tha basic kit they send you dont help everything..they have other products for problems lyke scarring. products u buy in tha store usually dont work so you could go to a beauty supply place and they could tell you about them. if you dont think they will work then you can go see a dermatologist and ask about differin cream.

okay wellll i think you should find a good cleanser, toner and moistoriser that works good for your skin. At the moment im using neutrogena rapid clear and it seems to be working. But drink lots of water change pillow slips regulary but not every night now thats OCD! but also at least once or twice a week scrub your face and use a mask. Get a face washer and soak it in hot water then put it on your face and its like a mini sauna then keep splashing your face with icy cold water to close the pores. If you have an aloe vera plant in your yard its fun to chop it up and put the goo green stuff on your face and its also very good for your acne as well. Keep cleaning your face and keep a positive attitude (:

I wasn't convinced at all, especially about oiling my face, but I am glad I listened. My spots went within a few weeks, and I've not had many (montly cycle excluded!) for a few years. Occasionally I use an antibacterial face wash from Handmade Naturals http://www.handmadenaturals.co.uk/shop/shop.php?action=full%26amp;id=58, that settles the odd outbreak and I moisturise with pure jojoba oil, from the same place. go buy a decent face soap, wash in the morning, and before bed, try not to touch your face with your hands. if you keep it up and dont slack off you should be clearing up by the end of the month.

I always suggest that blackheads and whiteheads be dealt with manually because you are addressing the specific area and thats alll that matters. You can do this by wrapping your two index fingers with tissue or toilet paper and gently applying pressure inwards toward the blackhead or whitehead with your two fingers-its gross to watch but its good for you.

Your only two options are retin-a (which sucks because you it makes your face red and you can't go out in the sun) or Differin Gel. Differin Gel requires a prescription from a dermatologist but is definitely the best product.

Another remedy I use is witch hazel with added tea tree oil, this is the perfect toner that won't dry you out. Only use unadulterated Tea tree Oil, you can find a good one at Sally's beauty supply. Neutrogena and Clean and Clear both make them. I usually do this step in the shower in the morning. I focus on gently rubbing this on my face, focusing on the areas that need it most, like my T-zone. Then, if I have a couple of pimples that are starting to show, I will apply Neutrogena Spot Treatment (small white tube) to just those problem spots. After that dries, I use a tinted moisturizer as my foundation (Stila is GREAT) and it also gives me SPF 15 coverage, which is a plus. Always apply foundatio/tinted moisturizer with a good foundation brush. It helps with even coverage and also limits the amount of bacteria you put on your freshly cleaned face. In general, I avoid touching my face excessively, as that tends to add pore clogging dirt and germs from my fingertips. But always apply skin toner after cleaning the skin to close the pores. You can even rub an ice cube on the skin wrapped in a cotton cloth to block the pored after steaming.
Use creams and gels, which contain alpha Hydroxyl fruit acids. They help in unclogging the pores to remove the whiteheads.
Never squeeze or forcibly remove the whiteheads otherwise you will get a scar or skin infection. Take professional help if the problem cannot be tackled by you.
Apply homemade scrubbers made by fruit peels. Dry orange peels in the sun and make a powder of them by grinding them. Add rosewater and milk cream to this powder and apply on the skin. Wash it off while rubbing it in the wrong direction when it's half dried. It will make the skin clear, smooth and will remove the whiteheads.

Hi i've been having trouble with removing whiteheads, mostly on my nose and chin. I wanted to know if biore pore strips will have the same effect if i used it because there's no product for just whiteheads. Also i went on a couple of websites that said egg white and tissue helps too. Is that true? What should i do?Can i use biore pore strips for whiteheads?
No, it won't work, because whiteheads (comedones) are covered with a layer of skin, and the Biore strips cannot 'grab' onto the whitehead.
The only way is to pierce the skin and then remove it. Best ot go to a skin salon or the dermatologist.

Biore pore strips are mostly meant for blackheads, which is just dead skin cells that surface on the skin. A whitehead is more like an oil and bacteria clog within the ';infected'; pore. With that said, I don't think using that certain product will eliminate the problem. Use neosporin on it and the bacteria will eventually surface.
aren't whiteheads just pimples? use acne medication for those. theres not a lot else you can do, unless you get birth control or some sort of intense acne medication.
