How to get rid of whiteheads safely?

I want to buy a tool to pop whiteheads, but i know that in the long run it will only open up my pores even more and allow more whiteheads to come.


Is there any way to get rid of whiteheads without this happening?

Exfoliating twice a week is a good natural way of cleaning skin up, including ridding and preventing whiteheads. Whiteheads are caused by a build up of sebum in the pore. The skin secretes sebum through the pores, and if the pore gets blocked in any way (like tiny dead skin particles) the sebum can't escape and creates a ';whitehead';. Unless they are removed carefully they can puss up and be awful. Exfoliating twice a week helps keeps pores clear and allows the sebum to escape freely. Using a gentle facial wash every day will keep skin surface clear in between.
It's fine to squeeze them as long as they don't get infected. squeeze them between cotton buds instead of your fingers as it's much more hygienic as less chance of infection, then put antiseptic cream on it
What i do is use toilet paper over my fingers then squeeze it. It will be red and might bleed a little but it will then go in about a day.
Mary, if I put a band aid on every whitehead I popped - my face would be covered in them.


Best go to a beauty saloon and let them deal with them.
Tyra Banks answered this question on one of her shows. She said to use 2 Q-tips, not your fingers. Hope this helps.
