What can I do to get rid of whiteheads and blackheads on my nose?

Ok, this sounds weird, but I only have 2 small whiteheads on the side of my nose (my nose area is oily) and lots of really tiny blackheads that look like black dots on the sides and on top of my nose. For some reason, I can't pop the whiteheads or blackheads. It's too difficult. Once every couple of days, I cleanse my face with this Noxema Citrus scrub. PLEASE HELP!What can I do to get rid of whiteheads and blackheads on my nose?
use biore pore strips

You need to use the scrub every day, don't wear an oily makeup, and don't try to pop them!
Exfoliate the whitehead prone area 3-4 times a week using facial exfoliators and scrubs. Never remove a whitehead forcibly; because in case of whiteheads the pore is not open. Forcibly removing a whitehead can damage the skin tissue and spread infection.

Drink lots of water and fresh juices.

2. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables.

3. First thing in the morning - Have a glass of warm water with the juice of lemon. It helps in detoxifying the body.

AND FOR BLACKHEAD REMOVAL

1. Opening the pores and loosen blackheads.

2. Blackheads extraction.

Here are ways to loosen the blackheads:

1. Steaming the Pores

Steaming can be done as often as twice a week but for no longer than 10 minutes at a time. This is a great way to clean out pores and loosen blackheads.

2. Combine 1/4 cup boiling water with one teaspoon of Epsom salt and three drops of iodine.

Let mixture cool until it's comfortable to the touch.

Saturate a cotton ball with this mixture and dab on blackheads.

This will allow them to loosen so they can be easily squeezed with a gauze pad.

3. Combine equal parts baking soda and water in your hand and rub gently on your skin for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

After loosening the blackheads, you can extract the blackheads easily. Here are ways to extract blackheads:

1. You can get a metal blackhead removal tool. It is usually available at the chemist's shop. It's long and narrow and has a hole in either end, one large and one small. You choose one end, center it over the blackhead and press down gently. The gentle pressure on the skin sometimes dislodges them quite easily. A lot less stressful than using your fingers.

2. Use a deep cleansing face mask prefferably a clay mask.
cleanse your face everyday, and mask it once a week, and be really clean with your face, don't over use makeup because it clogs the pores

It's been said but....BIORE STRIPS! I use to get blackheads ALL over my nose too, but I started using biore strips and now i really don't get them! After you've used it a few times you won't have to use them very often. At Wal-Mart it's about $6 for a box of 8 strips.
Those bior茅 pore strips work really, really well, and clearasil makes a face wipe that specifically targets blackheads. I have the non-blackead-targeting version, and it works amazingly well. The face wipes cost about 6.99, but they're worth it. Also, you can buy a blackhead remover that works really well, depending on where they are on your nose and how much of a pain tolerance you have, since you have to press pretty hard sometimes. I had one of those (until i lost it), and it worked pretty well. I used to have the same problem, but my skin has cleared up since i started using clearasil. Good luck!

Step 1 - Cleanse the face thoroughly with a good cleanser meant for oily skin. Preferrably use a salicylic acid cleanser.

Step 2 - Apply an astringent like witch hazel. It helps reduce oiliness. If its a bit harsh mix a bit of rose water in it.

Step 3 - Apply a good quality medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. You can get creams or gels of Benzoyl Peroxide treating blackheads If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.

Apply a thin film of adapalene gel once daily before bedtime. Its mainly available in the form of ';Differin';. Its highly recommended! A word of caution though, adapalene can increase the sensitivity of skin to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight, so prolonged exposure should be avoided by judicious use of sunscreens and protective clothing.

Following this routine, in a matter of days you will be getting rid of blackheads.

Effective Tips to get rid of blackheads

鈥xfoliate the blackhead prone area 3-4 times a week using facial exfoliators and scrubs.

鈥se creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) like glyco-creams that will clear away any dead skin cells and ';expose'; the blackhead. Use the AHA's every 3 days or so.

鈥eep your hair away from your face. Greasy hair and skin go together, and hair can spread infection.

鈥void washing the face with soaps more than twice a day. Instead wash your face often with plain water splashes.

鈥ften use a mask with a clay base.

If blackheads look ready to pop out, you could try removing them gently by using a blackhead extractor. Also, Pore cleanser strips (blackhead extractor) for removal of blackheads are highly recommended for the treatment/removal of blackheads. Using them once per week will leave your pores cleaner and smaller.

Steam your face to soften both the skin and the material blocking the pores.
